You didn't mention a .22-250 for lomg-range varmints, or a flare- gun, for if you get lost, or want to call down artillery support.........Maybe a harpoon gun, for a bit of 'catch & release" elk...

Actually, it was "bundle", not bundook. The correct British Army slang of the period. Yes, an Indian might call it a bundook, but a British soldier would call it a bundle!Hitch
